$68,640.00 -$70,699.20 The Registered Professional Nurse assesses, coordinates,plans, directs, implements and manages the needs of assignedpatients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progresstoward discharge, including during transitions within the acutecare stay. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for thedelivery and coordination of patient care provided by thecaregiving team. S/he assures that competent, compassionate patientcare is uniformly provided to customers including referringfacilities, hospital staff and patients in the inpatient,ambulatory, and community settings. Job Description Implementsphysician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performstreatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment asrequired by company policy and local/state/federal rules andregulations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests toidentify and assess patients’ conditions. Assesses and evaluatespatient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. Applies soundnursing judgment in patient care management decisions. Providesprimary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupationalinjuries and illnesses. Administers over-the-counter andprescription medications as ordered. Collaborates with the nursingteam to create a Plan of Care for all patients. Directs and guidesancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
