$68,640.00 – $70,699.20The Clinical Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs,implements and manages the needs of assigned patients throughoutthe episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge,including during transitions within the acute care stay. TheClinical Nurse is responsible for the delivery and coordination ofpatient care provided by the caregiving team. S/he assures thatcompetent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided tocustomers including referring facilities, hospital staff andpatients in the inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.

Units and skills covered include, but are notlimited to step down care, drips, cardiac monitoring,neurosciences, chemotherapy, acute rehab, codes including stroke,and rapid response. Our Float Pool Tier Configuration also comeswith generous shift differentials. Essential Duties ℜsponsibilities include but not limited to: Implements physicianorders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments,procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required bycompany policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.

Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify andassess patients’ conditions. Assesses and evaluates patient needsfor, and responses to, care rendered. Applies sound nursingjudgment in patient care management decisions. Provides primary andemergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries andillnesses. Administers over-the-counter and prescriptionmedications as ordered. Collaborates with the nursing team tocreate a Plan of Care for all patients. Directs and guidesancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of a professional academic nursingprogram in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or BaccalaureateDegree is conferred. Must hold current NYS Registered Nurselicense. Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support(BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Previous experienceas a PCA or other nursing assistance preferred. Ability to improvejob performance through continuing education. Possesses knowledgeof quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools andtechniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support ofdepartmental and patient care quality improvement.
