Salary Range:

$72,072.00 -$74,229.26 Registered Professional Nurse assesses, coordinates,plans, directs, implements and manages the needs of assignedpatients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progresstoward discharge, including during transitions within the acute Thecare stay. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for thedelivery and coordination of patient care provided by thecaregiving team. S/he assures that competent, compassionate patientcare is uniformly provided to customers including referringfacilities, hospital staff and patients in the inpatient,ambulatory, and community settings. Essential Duties andResponsibilities Implements physician orders, administersmedications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures andspecial tests, and document treatment as required by company policyand local/state/federal rules and regulations. Orders, interprets,and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’conditions. Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responsesto, care rendered. Applies sound nursing judgment in patient caremanagement decisions. Provides primary and emergency care foroccupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.

Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications asordered. Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan ofCare for all patients. Directs and guides ancillary personnel andmaintain standards of professional nursing. Minimum QualificationsGraduate of a professional academic nursing program in which aDiploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred Musthold current NYS Registered Nurse license Obtains and maintainscertification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport (ACLS) Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RNexperience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care Excellent communication,prioritization, organizational and time-management skills Possessesknowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solvingtools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in supportof departmental and patient care quality improvement.

Hourly Range:
