• $99,023.00The Pediatric Specialties Outpatient Division is looking for RN tojoin and be part of the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospitalat Albany Medical Health System. This position would supportmultiple divisions
• Pediatric Pulmonology, Rheumatology,Infectious disease, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Nephrology.

• Ambulatory Job Description Summary Under the direction of thepractice physician and/or advanced practice provider (APP) and thesupervision of the Nurse Manager (RN) and/or Nurse Supervisor (RN),the RN may provide direct patient care, patient triage (in-personand telephonic), assessment, planning, directing and evaluating ofa patient’s specific care plan and clinic visit.

Able to workeffectively within a team of multi-specialty professionals JobDescription Obtain and accurately record patient’s vital signs;reports abnormal values to treating provider Obtains and documentsa patient’s history (Medical, Surgical and Social) and focusedphysical assessment, related to the clinic visit and as dictated byclinic procedure Administers medications and treatments to patientsin clinic, under the direction of a physician or APP Participatesin in-office procedure, as related to clinic specialty, under thedirection and supervision of a Physician or APP and documentsresults in EHR Performs review and triage of incoming test results,patient requests and pharmacy renewals; facilitates call-backs topatients as necessary Facilitates the utilization of resources tomeet patient outcomes and contribute to Facility (AMC), New YorkState and National Quality data metrics Delegates tasks deemedappropriate per licensure of LPN and/or MA Adheres to AMC’sregulatory agency (The Joint Commission) and internal compliancepolicies Orientation and education of newly hired staff Completescontinuous/annual education related to Clinic specialty to maintainknowledge base on current practices Provides education to patientsrelated to their visit and overall health and wellness MinimumQualifications

• Associate’s degree of a state accreditedRegistered Nursing program is required
• NYS current RN licensureto practice professional nursing is required
• Current CPRcertification required
• 1-3 years of Pediatric or ambulatoryexperience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communicationskills
• Ability to effectively present information and respond toquestions from physicians, patients and their family members orother employees within the work setting. Familiar with computersoftware.
• Effective Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Working Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Experience with electronichealth record preferred
