The Primary jobduties of the selected individual are initial assessment/treatmentof work related injuries (wrist pains, shoulder pains, cuts,scrapes, etc), processing Workman’s compensation paperwork,involvement with Alliance Laundry safety team, stretching programsand work hardening programs with employees. Provides health care services to the organization’semployees in accordance with established policies, procedures andprotocols of the healthcare organization.
Job Responsibilities andRequirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides treatments for jobrelated injuries and related injuries Conducts pre-employmenthealth screenings and immunization clinics. Ensures compliance withapplicable workplace safety laws and regulations. May also conductsafety training programs. Provides employee counseling andreferrals for occupational injuries and illnesses as well as otherhealth-related matters. Monitors trends and causes of employeesafety events and works with colleagues to identify areas of safetyrisk. As an SSM Health nurse, I will demonstrate the professionalnursing standards defined in the professional practice model. Usesthe ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide his/her response to thecurrent and evolving health and nursing needs of our patients andour patient populations Works in a constant state of alertness andsafe manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Graduateof accredited school of nursing or education equivalency forlicensing
EXPERIENCE
Two years’ registered nurse experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant use of speech to share informationthrough oral communication. Constant standing and walking. Frequentlifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry. Frequentuse of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches orless) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguishcolors. Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors. Frequentuse of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish bodysounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing25-50 lbs. Occasional lifting/moving of patients. Occasionalbending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping andrepetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Occasional driving.
Rare crawling and running.
