Job Summary:

Provides temporary practice,pending results of the licensing examination for a period not toexceed 90 calendar days after the date of graduation. Thistemporary practice privilege automatically ceases upon notificationthat the graduate nurse has failed the licensure examination oronce the 90 calendar days after the date of graduation has past andrequired licensing is still pending. Provides holistic, quality andcost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others fora patient population within a unit, service or other primary areaof practice with an awareness of the episode of care. Applies thenursing process within the context of the organization’s Frameworkfor Professional Practice. Practices under the supervision of alicensed Registered Nurse. Reports to Unit Manager. QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Nursing program. Minimum Associatedegree, Bachelor’s preferred. Associate degree hires must obtain aBSN within 6 years of hire date Application to sit for CT RNlicense must be completed and licensing obtained within 90 calendardays of graduation date Demonstrates ability to develop, deliverand evaluate patient care Strong communication skills, both verbaland written and ability to work as part of a collaborative team Wetake great care of careers.
