Registered Nurse (RN) will workin our outpatient Infusion Centers providing holistic, qualitynursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patientpopulation within the Infusion Centers. Responsibilities includebut, are not limited to the following:

• Demonstrates excellentability to perform patient assessments, and provide symptommanagement as well as patient and family education.
• Practicessafe administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions,injections, and transfusions.
• Acts as part of a multidisciplinaryteam to provide continuity of care throughout various stages oftreatment and follow-up including, but not exclusive to: providers,social work, dietician, integrative medicine, pharmacy, navigators,laboratory, radiation therapy, genetics, and clinical research.
• Collaborate with provider offices to schedule patients for infusionvisits.
• Triage of patients through use of pathways andcollaboration with physicians for toxicities, symptom managementand needs for referrals within the RN scope of practice.
• Manage acaseload of patients receiving a variety of infusion and oraltherapies on an outpatient basis.
• Demonstrates high level skillsto manage complex workload effectively to provide safest, highquality care.
• Demonstrates an excellent ability to communicatethrough various methods and with various audiences to achievedesired outcome(s).
• Participates and engages in continuousprofessional development, safety behaviors and focus on the patientexperience.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

• CurrentConnecticut RN License
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card(or within first month of hire)

Education:

• BSN strongly preferred

Experience:

• Two (2) years of Previous Oncology Nursing experiencestrongly preferred We take great care of careers.
