Job Summary The staff nurse uses the nursing process to providepatient care consistent with acceptable standards of the professionand Community Medicine with a minimum amount of Faxton – St. Luke’sHealthcare supervision. Provides direct and indirect care in anoffice setting. Promotes high quality of care that reflectsinitiative, flexibility and responsibility. Determines prioritiesof care based on patient’s physical and psychosocial needs, as wellas factors influencing patient flow through the system.

Communicates with the Community Medicine providers about anychanges in a patient’s status Core Job Responsibilities Able toperform assessment data collection on all patients utilizing tool /forms in EMR Demonstrates ability to adequately assess and reassesspain. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.

Demonstrates skills necessary to provide age appropriate care topatients in the community setting. Consistently documentsprocedures completed in the EMR, to include medicationsadministered and follow-up assessments Delivers medicationutilizing the five (5) rights and observes patient for desireduntoward effects. Maintains current knowledge of medications andtheir correct administration Demonstrates knowledge of EKG orcardiac tracing Establishes priorities of patient care based onneeds and office resources Demonstrates the ability to assistproviders with procedures and perform services requiring technicaland manual skills

Education/Experience Requirements Required:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or nursing program

Licensure/Certification Requirements Required:
