JobDescription:
As a Behavioral Health RN, you’ll care for patientswith psychiatric conditions, emotional disorders, and substanceabuse challenges. You’ll assess mental health needs, implementindividualized care plans, and support patient safety in a secure,therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor,and document patient mental health status and behaviors
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects or reactions
- Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinarycare teams
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses,medications, and coping strategies
- Maintain a safe environment inaccordance with facility policies and state regulations
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
- BLScertification required; CPI or PMAB certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursingexperience
- Strong communication, observation, and crisismanagement skills
