Registered Nurse – Residential Health Advocate HAP Enterprises, Inc. 1198 Mulberry Street, Beaver, PA 15009 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the HAP Enterprises, Inc. community living team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality individualized care and will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans for adults with Intellectual Disabilities in their residential programs. This role requires excellent clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. This position requires office hours and travel to various residential programs throughout Beaver County. Monday-Friday 8a-3:30p with occasional flex and on-call hours as needed. Responsibilities Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and/or educating and overseeing the administration of medication by Direct Support Professionals. Regularly assessing residents’ health status and responding to medical needs or emergencies. Collaborating with physicians, psychiatrists, and other members of the Individuals Service Plan team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Providing education on health and wellness topics to residents, families, and Direct Support Professionals. Accurately documenting medical care, health updates and interventions. Assisting with crisis situations in collaboration with Direct Support Professionals, Site Supervisors, Program Specialists and Program Directors. Maintaining compliance with all relevant licensing, regulatory and organizational standards. Maintain basic life support (BLS) certification and respond effectively to emergencies. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of PA. 1-2 years of nursing experience is required. Experience working with individuals with IDD is preferred but not required. Experience or training in dementia care is preferred but not required. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred but not required. Strong skills in patient care, including critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a focus on empathy and critical thinking. Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing situations. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with nursing practices.
