Labor and Delivery Job Description:

As anL&D RN, you’ll care for patients throughout the labor,delivery, and immediate postpartum process. You’ll support familiesduring life-changing moments while managing high-risk situationswith skill and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor maternaland fetal vital signs throughout labor and delivery
  • Assistphysicians and midwives during childbirth
  • Administer medicationsand IVs, including epidurals and Pitocin
  • Educate and supportpatients and families on birth plans and newborn care
  • Manageemergencies such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Requirements:
  • ActiveRN license (Compact license preferred)
  • BLS and ACLScertifications required; NRP and fetal monitoring certificationpreferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent L&D nursing experience
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric protocols and fetal monitoringinterpretation
