Fairview Hospital’s 5 Pavilion Med/Surg and Telemetry Unithas a dedicated team of caregivers that provide top-qualityinpatient acute care to adults recovering from a wide variety ofconditions, such as pneumonia, heart failure and chest pain, aswell as monitor pre-operative and post-operative surgical patients.

Caregivers in this role have theopportunity to take advantage of some additional benefits. A caregiver in thisposition works nights 7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m. A caregiver who excels inthis role will:

• Participate in a residency core curriculum basedon individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing carealongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities forpatient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resourceavailability).
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable toperform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medicalrecords. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiverinclude:
• Graduate from an accredited School of ProfessionalNursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Oneyear of current Acute Care RN experience OR military RN experience
• New grad or less than one year RN work experience or ifexperience RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct careclinical inpatient setting with less than one year current acutedirect patient care RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
