Job Summary :

ATelemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN) provides specialized care topatients who require continuous monitoring of vital signs, heartrhythms, and other key physiological functions. Tele RNs assess,plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with acute andchronic conditions, focusing on monitoring, medicationadministration, and ensuring the safe and effective management ofcardiac and other medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

Monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetryequipment, identifying and responding to abnormal readings orchanges in condition. Administer medications, perform routineassessments, and provide interventions based on telemetry data toensure patients’ safety and well-being. Collaborate withphysicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers todevelop and adjust care plans tailored to the needs of patientswith cardiac or medical conditions. Interpret cardiac rhythms andECGs, recognizing signs of arrhythmias, ischemia, and other cardiacabnormalities. Provide patient and family education regardingcardiac conditions, medication management, lifestyle modifications,and prevention strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsto coordinate care, ensuring timely responses to changing patientconditions and complications. Monitor and assess patients forsymptoms of heart failure, hypertension, and other cardiac ormedical concerns. Administer and monitor telemetry devices,including central telemetry units and mobile monitors, to ensurecontinuous monitoring of patient cardiac activity. Recognize andrespond to acute cardiac events such as chest pain, arrhythmias, orother cardiac emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions asneeded. Document patient care, treatments, and telemetry dataaccurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with clinicalstandards and regulatory requirements. Provide discharge planningand education to patients and families regarding medication,lifestyle adjustments, and follow-up care.

Qualifications :

Education :

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred;Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.

Licensure :

ValidRegistered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Certification :

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Wellspring NurseSource Job
