Travel The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med-Surg unit isresponsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-pacedenvironment, assisting with the recovery of patients who requiremedical and surgical interventions. The RN will workcollaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality,compassionate care to patients across a variety of diagnoses andprocedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being duringtheir hospital stay. /n/n

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’physical, emotional, and psychological needs. /n
- Develop,implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patientassessment and physician orders. /n /n /n

Patient Care:

- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions asprescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to medicalprotocols. /n
- Monitor patient vital signs, lab results, andclinical progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans. /n
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility,hygiene, and nutrition. /n

Collaboration:

- Work closely with physicians,nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to coordinatecare and ensure positive patient outcomes. /n
- Communicateeffectively with patients, families, and the healthcare teamregarding the plan of care and any changes in condition. /n /n /n

Patient Education:

- Educate patients and their familiesabout their conditions, treatment options, and discharge plans. /n
- Provide instructions on medication management, lifestyle changes,and follow-up care. /n /n /n

Documentation:

- Accuratelydocument patient assessments, interventions, progress, and outcomesin the medical record. /n
- Ensure compliance with hospitalpolicies, standards, and regulatory requirements. /n /n /n

Safety & Infection Control:

- Adhere to infection control andsafety protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections and ensurea safe environment. /n
- Respond quickly to changes in patientconditions, such as emergencies or complications. /n /n /n

- Assist inmentoring new staff or nursing students and provide guidance asneeded. /n
- Serve as a resource for junior nursing staff inclinical decision-making.
