Registered Nurses utilize the nursing process(assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation)to provide direct and indirect patient care based on area(s)assigned, addressing the appropriate needs of all patients. Followsnursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to developunique education and care plans for each patient and provideappropriate education and support for family members. Utilizesjudgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needswhen directing ancillary staff. The Float Pool is a criticalcomponent of supplemental staffing resources across departments.

The Float Pool RN is maintained as a member of the 4thfloor/Telemetry staff at CHH and must function across departmentsin the role of a critical care RN. This role requires establishedexperience and knowledge across variable areas and acuity. FloatPool Staff RNS are trained and work across variable departments(ED, ICU, Telemetry & Med-Surg). Qualifications Maintains currentlicense as a Registered Nurse in the State of ConnecticutBachelor’s degree in field of Nursing preferred. Acute CareTelemetry & Critical Care Experience preferred; at least 1 year ofrecent experience in an ICU setting preferred We take great care ofcareers.
