Summary:

Pyramid Healthcare at East Stroudsburg is dedicated to providing comprehensive and robust treatment options to adults experiencing Substance Use Disorders. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering treatment at Pyramid Healthcare, primarily by providing direct nursing services to clients in adult substance-use disorder and/or mental health treatment.

Shift:

7:00am

• 7:00pm or 7:00pm
• 7:00am
• prn as needed at least 4 shifts per month

Pay:

$35

• $40/hr

Responsibilities:

Communicate with other disciplines to ensure client needs are met and participate in chart monitoring and action planning.
Work a rotating weekend schedule with the ability to work every other weekend.
Review and follow detox protocols.
Assist staff during high-volume shifts by prioritizing, organizing, and completing unit scheduling.
Orient new nurses as needed.
Maintain medical equipment and conduct medical lectures for clients as needed.
Administer medications and complete Medication Administration Records (MAR).
Complete necessary labs for treatment, including HCG, urine, BAC, and glucometer tests.
Administer IM and SQ medications and Narcan as necessary.
Ensure labs are addressed and reviewed, and manage physician orders.
Follow proper consent procedures.
Participate in Performance Improvement Projects.
Maintain staff development needs and keep records up to date.
Complete nursing competency and evaluation processes.
Adhere to Evidence Based Practice guidelines.
Engage in continued nursing training and monthly meetings for professional development.
Conduct nursing assessments, develop treatment plans, administer medication, monitor vitals, follow detox and other medical protocols, and assist medical providers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in Pennsylvania.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
