Job Description

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Certified School Nurse (CSN) Registered Nurse (RN) to work within a school district in Montgomery County.

Pay Range:

40/hr – 45/hr

Responsible for providing professional, medical treatment to students Responsible for early detection of student physical problems and for completing student health evaluations Coordinates vision, hearing, and orthopedic screening and health assessments Responsible for providing, or assisting teachers with providing disease prevention, nutrition and general health education Assists school personnel with the promotion of health education and immunization programs Designs and implements student Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) • Provides, and/or oversees, student medication administration and medical treatments as required by student’s IHP Maintains clinical records Provides emergency aid to students and school staff Consults with, conducts in-service training for, and serves as a resource person for school staff Participates in the implementation of health instruction/curriculum Counsels & assists students and parents in health-related adjustments

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred Certified School Nurse (CSN) course completion BSN Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in specific state required Two years of successful experience as a school nurse preferred Valid CPR certification required Successful completion of training, testing, and/or additional requirements as stated by contract required Excellent Communication skills Proficiency in the English language required Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation) required Must meet all federal, state, local, and contract requirements Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation Must be at least 18 years of age
