Port, PIV, PICC, and Midline care; lab draws when needed; Infusions in the home such as: Antibiotics, Immunoglobulins, Alpha-1 Antitrypsins, Enzyme replacements, and more; teaching and training patients when needed such as with Antibiotics, SCIG Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse – Infusion to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with a focus on infusion therapy, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient interactions, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Duties Administer intravenous medications and infusions according to established protocols and standards. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusion therapy and respond appropriately. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication administration, and potential side effects. Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of infusions, vital signs, and patient responses. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety within the infusion unit. Stay current with best practices in infusion therapy, including knowledge of ICD-9 coding for documentation purposes. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Experience in hospital medicine or critical care transport is preferred. Familiarity with pediatrics and trauma medicine is a plus, especially within a Level I Trauma Center setting. Knowledge of acute pain management techniques is desirable. Experience with esthetic laser treatment is beneficial but not mandatory. Proficiency in using neonatal ventilators may be required based on patient needs. Strong understanding of nursing standards and best practices related to infusion therapy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient education. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
