Job Description
Category Schools – RN Nurse Job Type Contract A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to provide dedicated nursing care in a K-12 school setting. This contract position, located in Irwin, PA, involves working 1:1 with a student to support health needs and promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personalized nursing care and health support tailored to the assigned student’s needs Monitor and manage student health conditions, administer medications, and implement care plans Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive student health management Maintain accurate and confidential health records following Pennsylvania Department of Education and nursing standards Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid or medical interventions as necessary Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
Qualifications:
Current and valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license Experience working with school-aged children or in pediatric nursing preferred Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff Ability to work independently and adhere to professional nursing practices in a school environment
