• Degree from an accreditednursing program
• BLS Certification
• Eighteen months of recentexperience in a Long-Term care setting

The specialized nurse oftenworks with the elderly and others who need assistance withactivities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing, and otherduties, including recording vital signs and administeringmedications. Due to the broad range of medical conditions Long-Termcare nurses will encounter, they must be well-versed in a largevariety of health conditions.

• Complete assignments made byphysicians.
• Provide routine treatment.
• Assess changes in thepatient’s health status and perform various treatments.
• Administer medication.
• Meticulous documentation as to medicationand treatment administration to ensure continuity of care betweennursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members.
