Job Summary Provides professional nursing care,focusing on the episode of care for complex patients withunpredictable outcomes being transported by air or groundambulance. This position involves the integration of in-depthpathophysiologic concepts and utilization of knowledge ofpharmacology and advanced skills along with critical thinking andindependent decision making in order to enhance the care of thecritically ill or severely injured patient in the uniqueenvironments of air medical and ground transport. Reports toManager. Qualifications BSN required Minimum three years criticalcare experience (ICU or ED). One year of this experience must be inan ICU.

Certification in the following areas:

Certified EmergencyNurse (CEN) or, Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or CertifiedFlight Registered Nurse (CFRN) Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and CPR certification CT andRI Paramedic License Advance skills: endotracheal intubation,cricothyroidotomy, pericardiocentesis, peripheral and centralvenous access, introsseous infusion, umbilical venouscatheterization and needle thoracotomy.
