• Degreefrom an accredited nursing program
• BLS Certification
• Eighteenmonths of recent experience in a Long-Term care setting

The specialized nurse often works with the elderly and others whoneed assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathingand dressing, and other duties, including recording vital signs andadministering medications. Due to the broad range of medicalconditions Long-Term care nurses will encounter, they must bewell-versed in a large variety of health conditions.

• Completeassignments made by physicians.
• Provide routine treatment.
• Assess changes in the patient’s health status and perform varioustreatments.
• Administer medication.
• Meticulous documentation asto medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity ofcare between nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment teammembers.
