The RN will provide safe, competent nursing care for patients inaccordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.

Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcareteam. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide thefoundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellencestandards at all times.

Duties:

Performs body system assessmentaccurately and promptly. Recognizes and provides ongoing assessmentof any change in patient condition. Monitors, recognizes, andabnormal test results. Assesses patient/family educational needsand expectations for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program.

Evaluates the plan of care and makes changes to meet the on-goingneeds of the patient. Evaluates the care provided by other membersof the team. Develops an individual plan of care based onassessment parameters. Prioritizes routine and emergency care basedon the ongoing assessment of the patient. Reports abnormalassessment findings promptly. Documents system assessment, nursinginterventions, medication administration, pertinent variance fromplan of careall accurately and promptly. Documents appropriatelyfor transfer of patient care inter

  • and intra-agency.

guidelines. Temporarily functions as chargenurse in absence of clinical charge nurse. Provides for care ofpatients requiring blood glucose monitoring., blood and/or bloodcomponents, IV conscious sedation, restratins, IV insertion,maintenance, and discontinuation. Provides for the management ofpatients pre, intra, and post diagnostic endoscopy, with or withouta therapeutic procedure and post therapeutic pain managementintervention. Demonstrates an understanding of the principles ofoperating room asepsis., flexible endoscope cleaning, high leveldisintection, electrosurgical system operation, safety, andspecimen collection. Provides for care of patients receivingpatient controlled analgesia. Provides for care of geriatric,adult, school age, adolescent, preschool, toddler, neonate/infantpatients. Performs treatments/procedures and/or cares for patientswith conditions not listed above after appropriateeducation/orientation. Benefit Highlights

QualificationsRequirements:

Education requirements: Graduate of an accredited orNLN approved RN program.

Work experience requirements:

Prefer one 1year in Endoscopy or related surgical field. Required licenses/certifications/courses Current South Carolina RN license orqualifying compact license. Current CPR certification. BLS and ACLSrequired (or obtained during orientation). Required skills,knowledge and abilities: Must successfully pass any pre-employmentassessment(s) required by the facility.
