Job Summary and QualificationsIncollaboration with the patient, the patients family, and othermembers of the health care team, you will beresponsible forassessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating atreatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department.

You serve as a key position of the interdependent team, and holdresponsibility for achieving positive patient and departmentoutcomes.

What you will do in this role: You will monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs anddetect any changes, thereby enabling intervention oflife-threatening or emergency situations. You will respond to Code Blue within the facility and initiateprotocol, special procedures and cardiac monitoring. You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening,preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arrangingor testing and admissions. You will instruct patients and families regarding medicationsand treatment instructions. You will maintain and review patients records including postingtests and examination results. You will administer medications in accordance with physicianorders. You will check rooms daily for necessary supplies. You will respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (mayinclude phone triage when needed).

What qualifications you willneed:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher is required Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which youpractice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American RedCross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider isrequired A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American RedCross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider ispreferred and required to be obtained within 6 months ofhire/transfer date Prior acute care nursing experience preferredTrident Health isa 445-bed HCA Healthcare hospital system comprised of two acutecare hospitals, Trident Medical Center and Summerville MedicalCenter and three freestanding emergency departments, Brighton ParkEmergency, Moncks Corner Medical Center and Centre PointeEmergency.
