We partner with our Nurses at Summerville Medical Center! JobSummary and Qualifications As a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)RN, you will provide post-anesthesia nursing care to the patient inthe immediate post-anesthesia period and transitioning the patientto Phase I recovery. You will be responsible for assessing,evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatmentplan and achieving the goals of the PACU department. What you willdo in this role:

• You will provide safe nursing care and safeenvironment for patients and families.
• You will transcribe andimplement physician orders and document all patient relatedinformation.
• You will administer medication and IV fluidsaccurately and safely within nursing guidelines.
• You willupdate/revise plan of care as needed, based on continued assessmentof patient. This includes providing care for patient discharge tonursing unit, including transport.
• You will effectively respondand perform in emergency and use critical thinking skills toperceive potential problem situations and intervene to offsetadverse effects.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be agraduate from an accredited school of

Nursing:

Associate’s Degreein Nursing or higher is required

• Must be licensed as a RegisteredNurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an activeCompact/Multi-State RN license
• Current American Heart Association(AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health CareProvider is required
