The Registered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Services at Starr RegionalMedical Center is responsible for performing comprehensive patientassessments, establishing and implementing care plans, andmonitoring patient conditions while providing emotional support.

This full-time position requires collaboration with the healthcareteam to ensure effective patient care and involves a range ofduties from medication administration to patient education.

Candidates must possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree inNursing and a valid RN license in Tennessee, with preferredcertifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.

Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problemsidentified and involves the patient according to his or hercapabilities and desires. Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as wellas other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living,including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, andambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patientcare, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and providespatient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being ofthe patient.
