RN-CVPICU

in Charleston, SC 13 weeks 3×12 nights Pay package: $20/hr $1500 weekly stipend= $2220 weekly gross OT rate: $50 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and (CVICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing, with a focus on providing exceptional care to patients recovering from cardiac surgery and other complex cardiovascular conditions. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CVICU, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform catheter care and assist with critical care transport as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized discharge planning for patients. Utilize knowledge of physiology to assess patient needs and respond appropriately. Participate in the management of patients requiring home community care post-discharge. Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with hospital policies. Engage in continuous education and training related to best practices in critical care nursing. Experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity environment is preferred. Familiarity with workers compensation law and durable medical equipment (DME) is beneficial. Knowledge of sonography techniques is a plus. Previous experience providing infant care is advantageous, particularly for pediatric cardiac cases. Strong understanding of discharge planning processes and critical care protocols.
