Job Summary:

/n AnInterventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) providesspecialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive,image-guided procedures. The IR RN collaborates with interventionalradiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safeand effective administration of care before, during, and afterthese procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. /n/n

KeyResponsibilities:

/n /n

• Prepare and assess patients forinterventional radiology procedures, ensuring they are informed andcomfortable with the procedure. /n
• Monitor and manage patients’vital signs, sedation, and pain control during interventionalprocedures. /n
• Administer sedation, medications, and intravenoustherapies required for imaging-guided procedures. /n
• Collaboratewith interventional radiologists, anesthesiologists, and othermembers of the healthcare team to provide safe, effective care. /n
• Assist in the placement, maintenance, and monitoring ofspecialized equipment such as catheters, needles, and contrastmedia. /n
• Monitor patients during post-procedure recovery,assessing for complications such as bleeding, infection, or adversereactions. /n
• Educate patients and families about procedures,recovery expectations, and post-procedure care. /n
• Documentpatient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and inaccordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. /n
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with theradiology team to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor of Science inNursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)accepted. /n

• Licensure:

  /n /n

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN)license in the state of practice. /n /n /n

• Certification:

  /n /n

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. /n
• AdvancedCardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred /n /n /nWellspring Nurse Source Job
