$15,000.00 Sign-on Bonus available! Provides direct patient care topatients using the nursing process in accordance with applicablescope and standards of practice.
Reports to:
Director EmergencyServices and Med Surg Performs plan of care intervention, includingmedication administration, specimen collection, clinicaltreatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documentspatient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patientcondition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, andfamily. Assists patients with performing activities of dailyliving, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, andambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinatepatient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs ofpatient and/or family and provides patient/family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works asan advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of thepatient. Observes central monitor screens, interprets, recognizesand records changes in patient’s rhythms and notifies nurse asappropriate. Handle with Care participation annually or CPIparticipation every 2 years.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree or RN Diploma required RequiredSkills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in astressful environment and take appropriate action.
RequiredSkills American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 90 days ofemployment if not current upon hire, Advanced Cardiovascular LifeSupport (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) requiredwithin 6 months of employment. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required within 6 months ofemployment TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
