Provides direct patient care to patients using thenursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standardsof practice. Will be responsible for selecting, preparing andplacing instruments and supplies in a specified order. Scrubbingfor procedures as a scrub nurse/scrub tech/assistant. Will beresponsible for identifying, disassembling, decontaminating,inspecting, assembling and processing of all reusable supplies andpatient care equipment used in the hospital.
Reports to:
Director Surgical Services Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as wellas other medical care treatment. Drag Edit Delete Documents patient care given. Drag Edit Delete Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Drag EditDelete Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patientcare, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Drag Edit Delete Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and providespatient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,and circumstances. Drag Edit Delete Practices strict adherence to sterile technique and equipmentinstructions to avoid infection of patient and self contaminationof equipment and supplies. Qualifications:
Minimum Education Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree or RN Diploma required. Drag EditDelete Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in astressful environment and take appropriate action.
