The major goalof the Interventional Radiology nurse is to provide exceptionalquality nursing care to outpatients and inpatients in the IRdepartment. The TMC RN provides nursing care in accordance withestablished policies, procedures and protocols already developedfor the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to the following: What you will do in this role: Assess, plan and evaluate the nursing care needs of the patientbefore, during and after the invasive procedures. Provide nursing care to the patient undergoing the invasiveprocedures. Assist Radiologists during examinations and procedures. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition asappropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Instruct and educate patients and families. Orient and mentor new staff members.
What qualifications youwill need:
Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate CompactRegistered Nurse License BLS-Healthcare Provider on hire (American HeartAssociation) ACLS on hire- or within90 days of transfer or new hire Prior Imaging, ER, ICU or Procedural experience required.
