Job Summary and Qualifications As a Post-AnesthesiaCare Unit (PACU) RN, you will provide post-anesthesia nursing careto the patient in the immediate post-anesthesia period andtransitioning the patient to Phase I recovery. You will beresponsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, andcoordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the PACUdepartment.

What you will do in this role: You will provide safenursing care and safe environment for patients and families. Youwill transcribe and implement physician orders and document allpatient related information. You will administer medication and IVfluids accurately and safely within nursing guidelines. You willupdate/revise plan of care as needed, based on continued assessmentof patient. This includes providing care for patient discharge tonursing unit, including transport. You will effectively respond andperform in emergency and use critical thinking skills to perceivepotential problem situations and intervene to offset adverseeffects.

What qualifications you will need: Must be a graduate froman accredited school of

Nursing:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing orhigher is required Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in thestate which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-StateRN license Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American RedCross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is requiredMinimum of 1-year previous nursing experience in CriticalCare/Recovery is required Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months ofemployment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days ofemployment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 monthsof employment start dateTrident Health is a 445-bed HCA Healthcarehospital system comprised of two acute care hospitals, TridentMedical Center and Summerville Medical Center and threefreestanding emergency departments, Brighton Park Emergency, MoncksCorner Medical Center and Centre Pointe Emergency.
