Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and documents direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a physician. Qualifications:

Education:

Associate degree (ASN) in Nursing required.
Bachelor’s degree (BSN) in Nursing preferred. Experience Previous acute care experience or long-term healthcare facility preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration Current South Carolina (orpact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet all patients and their apanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.
Patient response to care is reported for evaluation, intervention, and modification of the plan of care, and provides accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care.
Assists physicians and other nursing personnel in the performance of various diagnostic procedures.
Provides appropriate pain/symptom management and evaluates patient’s response to treatments/medications. Work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, and department heads.
Effectively utilize stronganizational skills.
Consistently display effective verbalmunication skills. Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.
Performs functions as noted above and generally with an assigned patient load, but RN is ready and willing to assist care partners with ANY nursing support function and across any case load including other neighborhoods, that may not be the normal primary work assignment.
