Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, private in-home care to patients. This role involves providing complete nursing assessments, executing care plans, offering patient education, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed. The RN will coordinate their schedule with the patient and ensure care aligns with the patient’s individual plan of care and approved hours. The position requires travel and 24/7 in-home care coverage for one-week assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients in their home setting, ensuring a high level of comfort and safety.
Execute plan of care directives accurately and in accordance with physician’s orders.
Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior to the case manager or healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
Collaborate with case manager and physicians to ensure optimal patient care, including communication with specialists as needed.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and proper care management techniques.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and provide detailed progress notes to the case manager regularly.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families during the course of care.
Assist with ADLs as necessary, ensuring the patient’s comfort and dignity at all times.
Communication:
Prepare and provide clinical notes and charting to clients’ case managers on the patient’s overall progress, including any changes in condition or care needs.

Care Coverage:
As a Travel RN, you will provide round-the-clock care for patients during week-long assignments. You will work closely with the patient’s family to coordinate shift schedules according to the patient’s plan of care and approved hours. This position requires traveling and delivering continuous care throughout the entire assignment week.
Qualifications:
RN License:
Must be in good standing and hold a current state nursing license.
Travel:
Ability to travel for week-long assignments as needed.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Certification:
CPR certification is required.
Independent Contractor:
Manage your own schedule and work independently.
Insurance:
Malpractice insurance is required.
Background Check:
Must be able to pass a full background check.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with medical software and equipment is a plus.
Communication:
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
Problem-Solving:
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for providing top-tier care.
