Professionals Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education Graduate of a professional school of nursing. Can practice as a RNApplicant per the Virginia Department of Health guidelines. Drag Edit Delete Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in astressful environment and take appropriate action. Verbal ability to present information and ideas related to nursingtheory and practice. Ability to accept responsibility andaccountability to prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing careprovided on assigned units as required with leadership qualities.
Requires the cognitive ability and practical ability to providenursing care appropriate to the patient population assigned,considering patient age, growth and development, and diagnosis withfull implementation of the nursing process to includeAssessment/Reassessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Planning,Implementation, and Evaluation.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia StateBoard of Nursing or a Compact State.
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within oneyear of employment. Drag Edit Delete Minimum Work Experience Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
Requirements will include successful completion of orientationchecklist, pharmacology exam, and skills/credentials/competencyrequirements of specific unit.
