JOB SUMMARY
As a clinical teacher, this position will provide undergraduate students on site instruction during clinical rotations. Helps students learn how to provide care for patients during on site clinical rotations. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES
Clinical Instruction
Delivers clinical care to patients while serving as a clinical preceptor to undergraduate students. Demonstrates and assist students with unit tasks in practice and demonstrate clinical skills. Provides leadership to enhance patient experience and patient safety. E/70%
Administrative:
Provides feedback to faculty on students performance during time in the clinical setting. Evaluates students performance and sends recommendations on improvement. E/15%
Collaboration:
Utilizes nursing practice to assign care for patients and families. Reviews written requirements with students, providers, and patients families. E/15%
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors degree. Work Experience
- Need at least 2 years experience in the specified clinical setting specialty applying for e.g., Med/Surg, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Critical Care, Community, Obstetrics, Leadership and Management. Licenses & Certifications
- Registered Nurse
RESPONSIBILITIES
Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work. Doesnt provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may manage fund allocation.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected pay range $5,000 per course Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations:
Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations
