The Dialysis Hospital Services Nurse(Acute RN) provides specialized dialysis, renal nursing care, andif contractually required, plasmapheresis treatments in our BaptistEasley acute hemodialysis unit. The Acute RN collaborates withhospital and outpatient care team members to ensure patientsreceive the safest care with the highest-quality outcomes.
Schedule:
Full-time, 36-40 hours/week, three 12-hour shiftsstarting at 7am. Some positions are on call 24/7, and rotating callmay be required at some locations.
Compensation:
Pay range startsat $32 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience;experience preferred

Responsibilities What You Can Expect:
Prepare and monitor equipmentused for intermittent or continuous dialysis and water treatment inthe acute setting, including quality control checks Perform anddocument pre-, intra- and post-dialysis assessments Initiate,monitor and terminate dialysis treatments per established policiesand procedures Dispense medication as ordered and document perpolicy and procedure in hospital medical record Administer bloodand blood products per hospital policy and procedure Accuratelyreceive, transcribe and implement written and verbal orders fromphysicians Access lab reports, interpret and report necessaryinformation to nephrologist Provide renal education to patients andfamily members and document appropriately Serve as primary dialysiscontact for nephrologists and hospital staff and liaison tooutpatient dialysis center Adhere to DCI and hospital policies andprocedures including proper completion of occurrence reports asnecessary Additional tasks as necessary
