13 weeks contract Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS 1 year experience Responsibilities Administer and document medications per physician orders; oversee clinic operations. Conduct health screenings and make appropriate MD referrals under standing orders. Maintain accurate, legible, and confidential medical records. Assist in planning and delivery of nursing services. Support physicians and transcribe medical orders accurately. Prepare and transfer medical records and medications during inmate transfers. Perform clinical procedures using universal precautions. Provide emergency care to inmates and staff. Participate in staff health programs (TB, Hep B, flu shots, post-exposure assessments). Collaborate with correctional staff to address inmates’ overall needs. Schedule appointments and complete referral documentation. Collect/process lab specimens and perform approved onsite tests. Provide health education to inmate population. Maintain and organize medical records and related documentation. Review incoming inmate medical records. Participate in chronic disease clinics. Implement updates to medical policies and procedures. Support discharge planning and provide healthcare instructions. Manage ordering and inventory of medical and lab supplies. Conduct inmate orientation on health services. Coordinate dietary needs with food services. Participate in Quality Assurance Programs. Assist with orientation of healthcare staff.
