JobSummary:

/n A Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) provides specializedcare to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiacprocedures. Cath Lab RNs play a crucial role in the preparation,monitoring, and recovery of patients undergoing procedures such asangiograms, angioplasties, stent placements, and othercardiovascular interventions. They collaborate withmultidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in afast-paced, high-pressure environment. /n/n

Key Responsibilities:

/n/n

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in theCardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) during diagnostic andinterventional cardiac procedures. /n
• Prepare and assist patientsbefore, during, and after cardiovascular procedures, ensuring thesafe administration of medications and sedation. /n
• Monitorpatients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic statusduring procedures, utilizing advanced monitoring equipment. /n
• Collaborate with physicians, interventional cardiologists, andother healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficientprocedural care. /n
• Assist in the setup, maintenance, andtroubleshooting of cardiac catheters, imaging equipment, and othermedical devices. /n
• Administer medications, including sedationand pain management, as prescribed for procedures such asangioplasty and stent placement. /n
• Educate patients and theirfamilies on procedure preparation, post-procedure care, andrecovery expectations. /n
• Monitor patients for complications,such as bleeding, arrhythmias, or hemodynamic instability, andprovide immediate intervention as needed. /n
• Maintain accuratedocumentation of patient assessments, procedures, andinterventions, ensuring compliance with clinical standards andregulatory requirements. /n
• Participate in quality improvementinitiatives, clinical education, and professional developmentrelated to cardiac care. /n
• Provide emotional support to patientsand families, addressing concerns regarding procedures andrecovery.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor ofScience in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing(ADN) accepted. /n

• Licensure:

  /n /n

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN)license in the state of practice. /n /n /n

• Certification:

  /n /n

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. /n
• AdvancedCardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. /n
• Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) certification preferred.
