To render professional nursing care to a group of assigned patientswithin the hospital. Collaborates with the medical staff and othermembers of the health care team to provide quality patient care.
Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies andguides. Triage training, recognition of critical presentation i.e.stroke, chest pain. Medication reconciliation training andunderstanding. IV starts and blood collection. Patient/family care needs and/or problems are promptly identifiedand addressed. Patient responses to nursing and MD interventionsand treatments are evaluated and documented in the ongoingassessment data. Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, initiates dischargeplanning to meet the discharge care needs of each individualpatient. Uses safe medication practices (Read Back, double checks) anddocuments outcomes such as patient response to new medication, sideeffects and adverse reactions. Completes medication reconciliationupon admission, transfer and discharge. Assists with orientation and training of others as directed. Associate’s Degree in Nursing required Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision. Handle with care within 4 months of hire C urrent RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state(compact) license).
Minimum Work Experience:
