Responsible for assisting the cardiologist in diagnostic andinterventional cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions onadult patients. Candidate must be focused on high quality patientcentered care through assessment and management of cardiac patientswith good communication and interpersonal skills. Registered nursewill be able to circulate, monitor and/or scrub diagnostic andinterventional procedures as well as some pre and postcare.
Performs all activities in accordance with approved policiesand guides. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties toancillary personnel
Essential Functions:
Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as wellas other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Employee supervises others. Assists with orientation and training of others as directed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Associate’s Degree in Nursingrequired Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisivejudgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriateaction.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required ACLS requiredwithin 3 months of hire
Licenses:
Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state(compact) license). Minimum Work Experience 1-3 years experience in a Cath Labpreferred Benefits – Wide range of benefits options!
