Essential Functions:
Performs plan of care intervention, includingmedication administration, specimen collection, clinicaltreatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documentspatient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patientcondition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, andfamily. Assists patients with performing activities of dailyliving, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, andambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinatepatient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs ofpatient and/or family and provides patient/family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works asan advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of thepatient. Arrhythmia recognition Participation in Code Bluesituations and/or leading the event until physician arrives.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education Associate’s Degree in Nursing required Bachelor’sDegree in Nursing preferred Required Skills Requires criticalthinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work withminimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressfulenvironment and take appropriate action. Excellent communicationskills. Ability to respond to and perform in emergent situations.
