Nursing Director Procedural ER Full Time Days Position SummaryThis role provides leadership and support to the senior executiveposition (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designatedpatient care functions/services within the hospital organization.
The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing,planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursingpractice on a multi-unit level. Role assumes 24/7 responsibility ofdirector’s assigned areas. The role is accountable to support CNOto ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care,competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource managementrelated to patient care.
THE NURSING DIRECTOR PROCEDURL ER FULLTIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION,LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Active and currentregistered nurse license in the state of residence/practice. Hashighly effective interpersonal and communication skills, provenleadership ability and hospital operational ability, and ability toserve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline ofnursing.
Education:
Required:
Associate degree from an accreditednursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a health care relatedfield or a BSN.
Preferred:
MSN or master’s in a health care relatedfield.
Experience:
Required:
2 years of progressive managementexperience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-timecharge nurse/related position.
Certifications:
Required:
AHA BLS.
Preferred:
RN license.
