Bilingual (Spanish) Maternal Child Nurse Home Visitor York County First Steps, Nurse Family Partnership Rock Hill, SC Bilingual Nurse Home Visitor and Outreach Position Position Description York County First Steps is seeking to hire a full-time Bilingual Nurse Home Visitor (NHV) and to begin expansion of the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) Program to the Spanish speaking communities in Chester, Lancaster, and York counties of South Carolina. The NFP Nurse Home Visitor is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services to women and their families eligible for the NFP program. NHVs are pivotal in transforming the lives of vulnerable babies, mother, and families by implementing and maintaining the fidelity of the NFP model. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with the Outreach Coordinator to expand and establish connections with community partners that also work to support Spanish speaking people in these counties. Our goal is that all children are healthy, families thrive, communities prosper, and the cycle of poverty is broken. Nurse Home Visitors report to the NFP Supervisor. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Provides home visits to women and their families eligible for the NFP Program Adheres to nursing process and the NFP model of home visitation Carries a caseload of 25-30 Clients Establish partnerships with community agencies that can serve as a support to the unique needs of many Spanish speaking persons provide referrals to the NFP program.

In between and during home visits, NHVs must be able to create structure in moments of confusion, disorganization or crisis.
