24/7 Leadership Oversight Position Summary Athena Medtech is seeking an accomplished and strategic RN Director of Emergency Services to lead clinical and operational functions across our primary hospital ED and two free-standing emergency departments. In this pivotal leadership role, you will provide direct support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and assume 24/7 accountability for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and patient care services within Emergency Services. You will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of emergency nursing care, ensuring staff competency, optimizing resource utilization, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence and innovation across all ER locations. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical and operational leadership to emergency departments at three locations, including oversight of a new facility opening in Indian Land. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals, strategic planning, and patient care objectives. Develop and implement evidence-based policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Directly oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and performance management for assigned areas. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and professional development among clinical staff. Serve as a role model and advocate for nursing excellence, quality improvement, and interdepartmental collaboration. Engage in data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications Licensure & Certification:

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice American Heart Association BLS certification (required) Additional certifications in emergency nursing (e.g., ACLS, PALS, CEN) preferred

Education:
Required:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Preferred:

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related healthcare leadership field

Experience:
Required:

Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital environment, such as a nurse manager, supervisor, or charge nurse Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong decision-making and communication skills
