Nurse Practitioner – Behavioral Health 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 222 22nd Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37203 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider (APP) — Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with psychiatric experience—to join our behavioral health team. The APP will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in accordance with clinical guidelines, state and federal regulations, and organizational policies. Supervision is provided by a licensed psychiatrist, in line with state regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations tailored to patient age and presenting concerns. Evaluate and interpret subjective and objective clinical findings to formulate accurate diagnoses and care plans. Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments; monitor and evaluate patient response. Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and health maintenance. Document all patient encounters and clinical decisions thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care. Participate in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and organizational initiatives. Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization through clinical excellence and patient advocacy. Contribute to quality improvement efforts and adhere to established performance metrics.

Qualifications Education & Licensure:

Graduate of an accredited Master’s-level Nurse Practitioner program. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Tennessee. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., AANP, ANCC).

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as an NP preferred. Required Skills & Abilities Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills. Proficient in patient assessment and management across diverse populations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

$75,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
