Job Summary Provides direct patient careto patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicablescope and standards of practice. Performs plan of careintervention, including medication administration, specimencollection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical caretreatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, andcommunicates patient condition as appropriate to care team,physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performingactivities of daily living, including personal hygiene,elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as neededacross disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patienttransfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial supportneeds. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family andprovides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture,condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physicaland emotional well-being of the patient. Perform other duties asassigned. May be required to perform duties of the CNA, MA or LPNor other nursing staff on occasion. Attends and participates instaff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.
Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS. Worksscheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary. Accepts allcall schedule as directed. Maintains a neat and professionalappearance in compliance to the existing dress code. Whileperforming this job, occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogensis present for all employees. Qualifications:
Job Requirements Minimum Education Associate’s degree required.
