JobSummary and Qualifications The Nurse Educator enhances professional practice and the provisionof quality patient care by providing evidence-based qualityeducational programs and activities that promote professionalcompetency for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensedclinical staff at the assigned facility.

In this role you will:

Participates in the development, coordination, managing,facilitating, conducting, and evaluating of onboarding andorientation programs for nursing and other healthcarepersonnel. Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promote employeeretention. Collaborates with the Director of Clinical ProfessionalDevelopment to adjust the program based on evaluation results. Participates in the development, coordination, and managementof facilitating, conducting, and evaluating competency. Designs and identifies educational activities to addresspractice gaps for identified target audiences, including licensedand non-licensed healthcare personnel, in alignment with HCA anddivision clinical education request and development processes. Develops activities to achieve specific outcomes related toidentified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge,skill and practice. Plans educational content delivery thatencourages learner engagement. Promotes and integrates the EBP in order to continuouslyimprove practice. Conducts, encourages, facilitates, and/orparticipates in research, EBP, and QI in patient caresettings. Identifies and develops strategies to facilitate a continuousprocess of maturation through lifelong learning. Utilizes novice-to-expert continuum when developing staff.

Identifies and provides opportunities for skill enhancement andmastery. What experience and education is needed for this role:? Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required Master’s Degree in Nursing Preferred 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia orleadership. Preferred 2+ years of experience in acute care hospital. Preferred Currently licensed as an RN in the state of practice or has anactive compact state license in accordance with law and regulationRequired Nationally Recognized Specialty certification Preferred Basic Life Saving (BLS) Required Ability to Travel up to 25% HealthTrust Supply Chain is a criticalpart of HCA Healthcare’s strategy.
