Position Summary:
Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed personnel.
Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program Exemption Criteria:
For individuals with previous or like experience, the following criteria will be used to determine whether the NA applicant will attend the in-house
Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program:
a. Holds a current CNA License or
b. is a current student in a qualified nursing program or
c. has a verifiable positive work history of at least two years as a nursing assistant/nursing technician in an acute care hospital or long term care facility.
Position Qualification:
3-6 Months – Required
Currently a Nurse Technician Tier 2 with UHS for six or more months of successful demonstration and proficiency in all the elements of Tiers 1 and 2.
Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
