BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The CRPC Outreach Specialist is an experienced staff member who has an enhanced role within the Emergency Services Line to assist the CRPC Coordinator with outreach activities that are part of the statewide EMS-C Project within the East Tennessee Region.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Certification in area of expertise (CRT, CCRN, CPEN, CCEMT-P);
PALS Instructor Status Minimum Work Experience:
3-5 years of Pediatric Critical Care, ED, or Prehospital Care Experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to relate with a variety of stakeholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in the development and delivery of educational activities within the statewide EMSC project in the East Tennessee Region; participates in workshops and meetings with, and provides consultation to, professional healthcare and community organizations relative to pediatric emergency and trauma care. Assists peers and colleagues in developing and maintaining competency in the diagnostic process. Provides education to address health promotion and safe environments including, but not limited to: Healthy Lifestyles; Risk-reducing behaviors; Normal/age specific care and safety. Uses the results of current outcome evaluations to make or recommend process or structural changes, including policy, procedures or protocols, as appropriate. Closely collaborates with statewide CRPC Coordinators. Facilitates collaboration and network building between facilities and services within the region. Participates with other disciplines to enhance patient care through interdisciplinary activities, including but not limited to: Education; Consultation; Management and Research. Integrates research findings into practice and where appropriate, participates in the generation of new knowledge in innovative ways. Interacts with and contributes to the development of peers and colleagues and serves as a leader in the practice setting and in the profession. Demonstrates energy, excitement and passion for quality work. Works to maintain healthy environments in local and regional communities. Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in pediatric care delivery in their area of expertise. Demonstrates knowledge of current practice standards, laws, and regulations. Prepares monthly reports regarding outreach activities. Willingly accepts other job duties as assigned.
